HVM & Strip Test Sockets
Built for the marathon. 500,000+ cycles without stopping. In high-volume manufacturing, downtime is the enemy. Our HVM & Strip Test sockets are engineered to survive the brutal environment of automated handlers. By utilizing ultra-hard plating materials and self-cleaning probe geometries, we extend cleaning intervals to 50,000+ insertions and design in total probe life exceeding 500k cycles. Whether you run x8 strip testing or high-speed turret handlers, we keep your yield up and your maintenance down.
HIGH-VOLUME & STRIP TEST CONFIGURATIONS
High-volume testing requires more than just a socket—it demands durability. Our production socket architectures feature extended-life platings, tool-less maintenance, and self-cleaning probes designed for millions of automated cycles. Browse our primary HVM configurations below to find the ideal match for your Strip, Turret, or Pick-and-Place handler.
| Handler Configuration | Parallelism | Cycle Life | Cleaning Interval | Compatible Handlers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Strip Test (In-Line) | x4 to x16 Strip | 500k+ Cycles | 30k Insertions | Rasco, Cohu, ASM, Besi |
| Turret / Rotary | Single / Dual | High Speed | 50k Insertions | Epson, Hon. Precision, SRM |
| Pick & Place (Tray) | x4 / x8 Site | Standard | 20k Insertions | Multitest, Advantest, Delta |

Overview
KEY FEATURES OF OUR PRODUCTION SOCKETS
- Extended Cleaning Intervals: We use “Self-Cleaning” sharp-tip probes and specialized plating (like PdCo) to resist solder build-up, allowing you to run 30,000+ units before stopping to clean.
- Tool-Less Maintenance: Our HVM sockets feature “Snap-In” inserts and floating bases that can be swapped by a technician in seconds without unscrewing the entire socket from the load board.
- Handler Compatibility: We design custom “Kit” interfaces to fit seamlessly into major handlers (Cohu, Rasco, Epson) without requiring expensive change-over kits.
- Debris Evacuation: Our housings include air-flow channels and open-bottom designs that allow debris to fall through rather than accumulating inside the probe cavity.
- Yield Improvement: Our “Floating Base” technology centers the device before the probes touch it, eliminating the “misalignment binning” that falsely lowers your yield.
VERIFIED PERFORMANCE & RAPID DELIVERY
Endurance Tested
Proven to Last
We don’t just guess. We test our probe alloys and platings in-house to verify they maintain low resistance for hundreds of thousands of cycles.
Global OSAT Support
We are where you are.
Most HVM happens in Asia. Our Singapore hub provides local stock, repair services, and engineering support to your OSAT partners (ASE, Amkor, UTAC).
On-Site Support
Installation & Repair
Our application engineers can visit your test floor to help with socket installation, cleaning training, and on-site rebuilding to ensure maximum yield.
GET A FAST & ACCURATE QUOTE
To speed up your handler integration and quote process, please have the following ready:
- Device Package Drawing (POD): PDF/DXF.
- Handler Model: Which machine is this running on? (e.g., Rasco Jaguar, Epson NS8000).
- Parallelism: How many sites? (e.g., x4, x8, x16).
- Docking Interface: Do you need the specific docking plate/stiffener for the handler?
How do you clean the sockets in production?
Our sockets are compatible with standard cleaning methods: Air Blow, Brush Clean, and Ultrasonic cleaning. We also offer “Online Cleaning” dummy units for automated handlers.
Can I rebuild the socket myself?
Yes. We sell “Rebuild Kits” (Pin & Insert sets) that allow your maintenance team to refurbish a worn socket at a fraction of the cost of buying a new one.
What is the typical lead time for spare pins?
We keep high-volume probes in stock. Spares typically ship within 24-48 hours from our Massachusetts or Singapore inventory.
